Foundation for Bayport Public Library
Used Book Sale Spring, 2008

Please donate your gently used books and media to the Foundation for Bayport Public Library to help make its first annual book sale a huge success! The Book sale will take place this spring, date yet to be determined. Watch local media or check the library website at www.bayportlibrary.org for announcement of the sale date.

Donations are being accepted at the library now. Donated materials will be evaluated and either added to the library's collection or sold at the book sale to raise money for the collection and library programs.

What can be donated:

  • Audio books, VHS tapes, DVDs and CDs in complete and playable condition
  • Paperback and hardcover books in good condition- fiction and non-fiction
  • High interest subjects: mysteries, romance, science-fiction, classics and travel
  • Children's books
What can't be donated:
  • Torn, soiled, heavily marked or mildewed materials.
  • Books with missing pages.
  • Textbooks, computer software, outdated materials such as tax guides,
  • Reader's Digest Condensed Books.
  • Magazines.
Where and When to take donations:

Drop off donations at Bayport Public Library, anytime during library hours: Monday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Tuesday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Wednesday & Thursday, 12 noon-8 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. -5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Receipts for Tax purposes:

Receipts for items donated are issued upon request. Receipts state the approximate number of items but do not estimate value following IRS regulations.
